Ask your average person on the street and they'll know of The Salvation Army for its thrift stores, it's Red Kettles at Christmas or perhaps even for memories of wartime donut girls. Mention of our modern day Army as a church or even as its own denomination usually catches people off guard. And yet, beyond our thrift store dropboxes there lies an aggressive history of social activism often overlooked or even ignored by our modern day church.

The primitive Army sought out social justice regardless of political stance or unpopularity, but simply because it was in line with the heart of God; The heart that has an expressed bias for the poor, the needy and the oppressed. So too, the "new" Primitives seek to address social injustice as we approach the global end-time harvest.

This list of campaigns - the "seven deadly sins" against humanity - as with most of the information regarding them, has been taken from the book Be a HERO: The Battle for Mercy and Social Justice by Wesley Campbell and Stephen Court. In the gospel of Christ, as I have received it, in
the Spirit of my religion as I teach it, may I ask that we all link hands in a solemn contract to
press on. We must go on. While there is a land
to Christianize, we must go on. While a lost girl wanders, we must go on. While there is a city
or a home without a Bible, we must go on. Wherever the ship of life is in danger, there -
death or life - we must go on!
